Trevoh Chalobah Earns Late Call-Up to Thomas Tuchel's England Squad

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce that defender Trevoh Chalobah has received a late call-up to the England national team squad under head coach Thomas Tuchel. The 26-year-old has been added to the Three Lions' roster for their upcoming UEFA World Cup qualifying matches, following the withdrawals of Newcastle United players Anthony Gordon and Nick Pope due to injury.

Chalobah, who progressed through Chelsea's academy and has been a key part of the Blues' defense this season, first earned international recognition under Tuchel in May 2025, making his debut in a friendly against Senegal. This latest inclusion marks a significant milestone in his career, reuniting him with his former Chelsea manager as England prepares for fixtures against Serbia and Latvia. With the team already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, these matches provide an opportunity for Chalobah to further showcase his talents on the international stage.

Chelsea Head Coach Enzo Maresca expressed his pride: "Trevoh has been outstanding for us this season, and this call-up is a well-deserved reward for his hard work and consistency. We're all behind him as he represents England."

The club wishes Trevoh the best of luck and looks forward to his continued contributions both internationally and at Stamford Bridge.
